Section 1.1: Understanding Your Burdens
When I refer to "burdens," I'm talking about the various weights we carry in life—relationships, obligations, worries, stressors, grief, challenges, choices, and more. Ultimately, it's your life, and maintaining ownership of it is crucial.
Others around you have their own struggles and cannot live your life for you. It’s imperative that you actively engage in your own journey.
Doesn't the Bible encourage us to help one another?
Yes, the Bible indeed emphasizes the importance of supporting one another. It teaches that we should uplift each other, show kindness, and help those in need. The New Testament discusses the church’s role in caring for its members and the community at large.
For instance, in the parable of the Good Samaritan, Jesus illustrates the concept of loving your neighbor. Furthermore, Paul writes to the Galatians:
"Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ." (Galatians 6:2, NKJV)
While it’s true that we should assist one another, it’s also important to recognize that each person is responsible for their own life.
Section 1.2: The Balance of Support and Independence
Paul also states:
"For each one shall bear his own load." (Galatians 6:5, KJV)
And in his letter to the Thessalonians, he writes:
"If anyone will not work, neither shall he eat." (II Thessalonians 3:10b)

It’s natural to seek help occasionally, but the goal should be to empower ourselves to move forward. Asking for advice, requesting prayer, or seeking support from others is perfectly acceptable. However, the ultimate responsibility lies with you.
