# Explore Twos: The Ultimate To-Do List Application
Written on
Chapter 1: Introduction to Twos
Twos has been a part of my organizational toolkit since February 23, 2022. Though my usage fluctuated due to life changes, it has recently become essential again as my schedule picks up. Is it merely a to-do list app? Is it just for reminders or quick notes? It encompasses all these functionalities and more, available on iOS, Android, and as a Chrome extension.
I’ve experimented with numerous task management apps over the years, but my interest wanes quickly if there’s no web interface. Twos provides seamless access anytime and anywhere, making it a valuable addition to my productivity arsenal.
To-Do Lists Galore
I navigate my life through various lists—more than one, in fact! Twos excels in offering multiple lists. I maintain a handful of primary lists—Personal, Home, Work, and Projects—with various sublists nested beneath them. This organization allows me to categorize tasks effectively and maintain focus.
These lists can be either private or shared, which I appreciate. It allows me to create content suitable for different contexts while keeping some tasks confidential.
Chapter 2: Personalization and Features
Twos is remarkably customizable. I enjoy learning how others utilize the app because everyone has unique preferences! The main view I rely on is the "Today" tab, where I kick off my daily planning. Tasks left incomplete from yesterday automatically carry over, ensuring nothing slips through the cracks.
Tasks with due dates appear as scheduled, and once I assign a date, I can trust Twos to remind me when it's time. Additionally, I can view my Google Calendar events in the "Today" section, which is incredibly convenient. While it's possible to convert calendar events into to-do items, I prefer to keep them separate for clarity.
Twos features an effective two-way integration with your calendar. It not only imports your events but also allows you to link tasks directly to your calendar. A neat touch is the prompt to remove a task from the calendar once it’s checked off, keeping everything organized.
The "Week" view resembles a kanban board, enabling a quick glance at upcoming tasks and deadlines.
I’ve tailored my dashboard to display Today, Week, Calendar, Lists, and Tags, while hiding sections that I seldom use like Home and Reminders.
Tags for Organization
I utilize tags to create agendas that remind me of discussions, daily tasks, and urgent items.
Twos aggregates all tasks that share the same tag, aligning with the Getting Things Done (GTD) methodology. For example, I recently checked off several tasks while running errands.
Writing and Note-Taking
What sets Twos apart from standard to-do list applications is its notetaking capability. It allows for more than just task management; it’s also a space for jotting down ideas.
Each entry can be customized—whether you prefer checkboxes for tasks, plain text, or numbered lists. I maintain a Daily Log list for brief observations, and Twos automatically timestamps my entries.
To ensure I stay on track with my NotePD lists, I create a week’s worth of empty entries to fill in as inspiration strikes, ensuring I never miss a posting.
